Debate House Prices

All the way through I have stated that I don't like debt and I don't think that property is a good investment. I have stated scenarios where you property bulls could make money from property because you cannot see beyond bricks and mortar.
All you have done with your Bull pack gang-up is to prove my point that it is insane to get yourself into debt for investment purposes. The risk of losing everything is too great.
If I have £100k to invest I can put it into shares. If the stockmarket falls 50% I stand to lose £50k. I
If I have £100k to 'invest' in a property and borrow a further £200k to buy a £300k property. If this property loses 50% of its value I am £150k down. I am wiped out.
You guys just don't see it and you never will, so I am going to leave this forum. I am RennovationMan's sockie. Goodnight.0 -

Rather than compare against general inflation, he should possibly compare against wage inflation.

I think they are ignoring it because very few people bought or sold during the period between the peak, the trough and today. Unreasonable I know, they ought to pretend that we are still in the trough.0 -
