I genuinely thought nothing of this until I read the reason it exists at all - many people use their mothers maiden name as a security question for online banking!
I've always used my grandmother's maiden name instead of my mum's for the online banking security question
they ask for that because that's not something you're likely to forget, but there's nothing stopping you from using any name you want as the answer.
Edit: oh and I don't do the silly name-games either, I can't even see the entertainment value in those lolNow free from the incompetence of vodafail0
