Although you would need a permit to collect in the street, you could collect money on private property, e.g. at pubs. You would have to collect in an open... thingy, sorry can't think of the word... but this basically means a bucket without a lid. All you would need to do would be to get permission from the manager. It really is that simple. I'm sure you would be able to get a nice contribution from local pubs and bars - what's happening to your cousin's little boy is awful, and I'm sure it would touch those who live near him.

(I volunteer for charity, so do know about the relevant rules and regulations on fundraising.:))

Many thanks for all your ideas everyone. Im sorry I didnt get back to this thread sooner. My cousins little boy sadly passed away on 16th January aged 8 after putting up a very brave battle.
He is sadly and desperately missed by all his family and everyone who knew him.
