Internet on laptop

Im thinking of purchasing a laptop.
I have a d900 phone which i can use as a modem with samsungs own software. My only issue is cost.

Is there any ISPs out there that arnt 0845 etc, This way the internet would be charged as a free minute, effectively not costing me anything. Can anyone please shed any light?

Usually when you use your phone as a modem it adds to your data charges for internet access...

And no there isn't a way to get internet for free with 0800 numbers or everyone would be doing it!

Data charges through phones can be extremely expensive, check out "web n walk" by T-Mobile. It's one of the most reasonable plans at the moment.

There used to be ISP's that had a london access number but dont seem to be available any more. I expect you'll find that data calls are often exempt from mobile phone price plans.

Also note that data charges are not included as part of standard packages - you have to add them separately. I've found that with the number of hotspots around it's cheaper to use your WiFi laptop with these rather than using your mobile as a modem & you get better speeds.
