Unfortunatley I'm not pretending. I really am a single working mum (thanks to my husband of 12yrs leaving me when I was three months pregnant) and my tax credits have dropped as well.
  • it sucks, money sucks, the government sucks. all the people who are carrying out benefit fraud suck!! i mean i know so many people who are doing it, they dont work and go shopping and on holidays all the time. im working and can just about afford food :(

Not being funny but I reported someone who was committing that. Really got my goat up, she was claiming as being single and in one job, but reality was she was accepting cash in hand from her ex for their son (£60 week), Cash in hand job (£120+ week) AND her new partner lived with her who was in full time work!

She was constantly at the beauty salon, and constantly being tangoed. Going on and on about her latest holiday she booked abroad, designer clothes, furnished her house with next, right snobby moo!!

I shopped her, and then found out another friend of ours did the same. Took a year but she was caught, cautioned and sorry, very sorry. She never had to pay anything back though .

she wasnt breaking any rules for accepting 'cash in hand' from her ex, as maintenance is totally disregarded when it comes to benefit.
