If you have a student loan please keep your payslips. I have just discovered that the amount paid by HMRC to SLC is not the same amount that has been taken out of my wages. I naively took it for granted that they would hand over the right amount of money at the end of the financial year - but they haven't.
The only saving grace is that i have the payslips to prove it. Rang HMRC, they were rather disinterested and didnt seem in the least bit concerned that my money was missing in the ether - Check everything!!
