I won a holiday & was contacted by a third party first, they were surprised that I didn't already know about it as the comp had ended 3 months previously. After the call came the letter in the post & holiday brochures, the woman told me to call her with any queries & she was real helpful. You're probably too excited to think straight right now - congrats & enjoy!0

Think everyone seems to have been dealt with the same - get the call from the promoter to say you've won and then details passed on to PR company. Just wanted to add I also had a great experience with NDL - I won a holiday to Tokyo but then the earthquake happened a week before I was due to go - they cancelled the holiday and arranged for me to go somewhere else within 2 days so I didn't even have to change my holiday dates2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89

Well done on winning!!!! It is such a fab feeling to win a holiday.
I have one 2 major holidays - Australia and Florida.
When I won the Australia one, it was via Virgin Radio and a lady from there rang me (I thought she was winding me up!). She said she would send me an email to confirm and said I would hear within a month from the company dealing with the prize.
I heard quite quickly from them and the Ts and Cs said I had 6 months to use the prize and it had to be used by 31st December. I asked them if I could go at Christmas and they agreed. The way the prize was dealt with was a bit strange as apart from the flight (which they booked for me), I received vouchers for the hotel, Syndey Bridge Climb etc, which I needed to book direct with them. When all the voucehrs came, most said they could not be used at Christmas!!
I then contacted the PR firm and the man assured me it would be OK and he would confirm. I heard nothing and started to think it was all falling apart. When I rang up agaiin, I was not only told that the man I was dealing with had left, but the PR firm were no longer dealing with the prize and that it had been handed over to another firm!!
I contacted the new people who were so helpful and they honoured all the prizes and let me use them at Christmas.
It was such a fab holiday and such a great experience for my children.
The second holiday was with ITV and was a 7 night holiday to Florida.
A lady called me to start with to tell me about the prize and she said soeone would be in contact within a couple of days. A few days went by and no call, so I called the lady back who was surprised nobody had been in touch, so she cahsed them up.
I then got a call from another man at ITV who confirmed the prize. The prize included a flight and 7 nights at Hard Rock Hotel and passes to Universal theme parks.
I asked if I could extend the holiday by 7 days, so that I could take my daughters to Disney (at my own expense). The man didn;t think this would be possible and said Universal would contact me.
So, then I had contact with a 3rd person who said it would be fine to extend it. We then discussed via email dates and flights and this was all booked for me.
The holiday was fantastic and there were no problems. We are going back to Florida in August (this time we are paying - I tried to win another one, but no luck!)
Have a fab time and I'm sure everything will work out well.2019 Prize Total - £0/0 Prizes 2018 Prize Total - £100/1 Prize 2017 Prize Total - £250/2 Prizes

I've won a few holidays and had some very different experiences. Normally you are put on to a third party who books you into everything. I've had times though when lots of companies were involved and it has taken a long time to organise. One trip I won in April 2010 but wasn't able to take it till a couple of weeks ago as I was going with a group. One time it took so long that they gave me a few extra days as I had been so patient with them.Top wins in 2018: Trip to Iceland, helicopter ride over london, couples massage, £300 flight from Pringles, trip to Paris, cocktail making class and afternoon tea up the shard. .
Top wins in 2017:holiday to the Bahamas, trip to Paris, meal with champagne, a week in a manor house in France with £500 spending money.0 -
Just a quick warning:
Make sure your check you flight home. We missed ours. it cost us as much as the holiday was worth (if not more) to get back, via scotland as there were no flights to london.....Aiming to win a holiday for my honeymoon [] some IOW festival tickets [] and some vouchers [] an iphone[] and a handbag [] so far....nought!0 -
