Im really sorry if ive posted this question in the wrong place i'm still quite new to this.
Basically i won a holiday on Monday from Classical FM and the woman i spoke to took my basic details just name address and contact number and gave me the brief details of my win. I asked for more information, such as whether she knew when we had to take the holiday and she said she was only acting as a third person and the competition promter would get in touch with me.
I just wondered for those who've won a holiday in the past how the process works really. How long after winning did it take for them to get into contact with you? And how do you go about collecting the prize?
Any feedback would be appreciated =]

If you can find the competition then the T & C's should be on there and they should state dates etc..hope that helps, congratulations on your win0

I haven't won a holiday but have won a weekend away. The person who contacted me asked basic details and then passed them on to the promoter who emailed me to confirm my address etc within the week and I have had had numerous calls from them since. Had no problems with them at all.
Well done on your win!0 -
I've won 4 or 5 over the last 3 years, The promotions company will make contact, within a month usually, and explain what your prize is and you with them decide dates, flights etc.
It's really straightforward, On a few I've added an extra person and offered or payed the difference and even that has been easily dealt with.
The 2 hols I won from Radio stations where handled by NDL group, who were fantastic.
Make sure passports and Ehic cards etc are all uptodate whilst waiting contact xx
Good luck x#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Hi.
Congratulations on your prize.
I have won a weekend abroad in the past and initially I was contacted for information by phone, which was then passed on to the people actually arranging/providing the holiday break. They then sent details in the post, a few forms to complete etc..... and then it went from there.
Hope you get it all sorted out and have a lovely time.

Aww thats great! The woman from the radio station was really helpful and told me to call her back in 28 days if i hadnt heard anything by then and she'd chase it up.
Thanks for the advice guys, its nice to hear other people experiences!0 -
Congratulations on your win, I was contacted directly by the PR company, she asked what dates I would like to go, then went back to the hotel to check before confirming with me and giving me the available flight options to choose from. The PR company then forwarded me a confirmation of the booking & flights and what was included in my trip.
The flights were booked by the hotel and the PR company forwarded the e-tickets to me to print 2 weeks before we travelled. In fact the whole process was done through email.
Hope you have as fantastic time as we did.:hello:0 -
NDL group has been handling my holiday i won to vegas basically they pr company arrange for someone to take care of all the details for u your t&cs will help there will be black out dates
they only need basic info your names d.o.b of ppl travelling (the ppl who are travelling) and availabitly of travel ie when u would like to travel, usually u have to give a few dates incase of unavailabilty (is that a word) hmmmm ... the pr company pays someone to do all the work

i have won a few short breaks, i won one a break to venice with womans own a few years ago, but the promoter basically said we could choose any break to that value, so we ended up visiting stockholm and sweden instead, and last year i won a break to Bovey castle in devon, they sent me a voucher to book it which ran out the middle of may, but i rung up before it ran out and asked if we could go in june and they have booked it for next month for us, and other breaks we have won over the years have usually been flexible, have a great time!0

I won a holiday with the Daily Mail who phones me then passed it on to Comic Relief but BT were actually organising the holiday & it took a week for them to contact me despite me phoning comic relief several times as I thought it was a wind up as the holiday was departing the following week. I'm sure you'll hear from them soon but if you don't I know that Classic FM are part of the Global group & if you don't hear from Classic you could try contacting global. I have a great contact their who always sorts problems out on their various websites when there's problems with the competitions on their website. I don't know if he will be able to help in this respect but it's worth a try neil.oxbury@thisisglobal.com
I also won one with the Times who use NDL to sort out all their prizes & I know a lot of companies also use them. If so they are absolutely brilliant as they adapted a holiday that I won to suit my disability, changed the location, type of accommodation & even the £250 vouchers to M&S instead of Blacks outdoor wearPositivity is the key to success0
