Oh, and for a small fee there's indoor play areas there's one in the Bees Knees pub in meridian and scallywags in Earlshilton. Mine have out grown these now but if you're feeing frazzled they're great for a chance to sit down and have a coffee whilst the little ones run off a bit of steam in a safe enclosed space! Enjoy yourself.

Some child theatre based activites are taking place in Leicester next week www.sparkfestival.co.uk or what about a picnic in Bradgate park with wellies and a fishing net.have fun!

I thought I'd got him Tues/Weds/Thurs but now it looks like it's just Thursday so once we've done a bit of digging in the garden (messy - yeah!) & made some fairy cakes or biscuits (a treat - he loves the cooking I've done with him so far!) then we should only have a few hours in the afternoon to "waste" & Abbey Park may just do that if it's reasonable weather. I'm definitely going to bear Abbey Pumping station in mind - it's ages since I was last there and it sounds as though it's worth a visit!
I've squirrelled away the other ideas for future reference!
