Apparently this is the safest browser yet....It was recommended to me by a highly qualified IT person. Has anyone used it yet?

Wget isn't a browser - it's just a program that can download files from web and FTP servers. Were you thinking of Lynx?
I suppose the safest web browser would be one that didn't cache files, display images or run scripts... but I'm not sure that such a browser would be much use to me!0
