I do recall years ago I used to get many 'you've been preselected for a CC' leaflets through the door from my postman.
Do CC companies still send these?
If so, how do they do a preselection without you providing any salary or credit history information?

The bank probably have some sort of script that detects your banking conduct with them, as well as other details held on the system (such as salary, etc..).0
