Their website bumph lists the options for withdrawals as "online" only.
Have you read your T&Cs to see if CHAPS is an option on your online savings account?0 -

CHAPS is a real time transaction hence why it is not offered online.
The cost of a CHAPS transfer can between £25 and £35.
This is a different system to faster payments.0 -

, but some online accounts also have the option of call centre initiated CHAPS transfers.
All I'm asking (the OP) is has he read his T&Cs to see what additional support facilities his "online" savings account has.0 -
I'm pretty sure I have seen CHAPS as a withdrawal option on one of my Building Society online accounts (can't remember which).
It should be pretty easy to program in to a site, but probably not worth it because of the very low demand and the extra security that usually accompanies large value payments. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Kauphing Edge used to be able to do this from an online account automatically and immediately - Remember them.
I know 'cos I used it to get all my money out the day Icesave went under - figured (correctly) that they would be next to collapse so 'twas time to help the bank run along a bit on the basis that if you are going to panic - panic early.
Ah...them were the days!0 -
In order to carry out the CHAPS transaction on any Santander account you need to attend the Branch with 2 forms of ID and proof of account ownership such as a card/statement. The branch may advise you that you can't do the transfer however all you need to do is get them to ring through to the online savings helpdesk (08456004388) and they will get it authorised. There will be a small fee, usually around £25, to carry this out and you should attend before 2pm usually to ensure the same day transfer.0
