Bought a brand new seat ibiza last march and the car was fine for the first 11 months. In the last 3 months the car has been back to seat for the same issue. The car keeps cutting out and the eingine management light comes on. The car is currently with seat as we speak for the 3rd time.
I have lost faith with the car and dont feel confortable taking it on a long journey as im not confident this wont happen. It seems to be a intermiddant fault as the first time they did a software update and told me it was fixed only for it to happen again a month later. The aa came out and unfortunitly he cleared the fault and seat were unable to replicate the fault or find any problems.
Has anyone got any suggestions on what to do, i guess they will do whatever they need to do then return it to me but i dont feel confident that in another months time it wont happen again. Is this reasonable ground to reject the car?

Yes.... Buy 2nd hand, 2 or 3 years old, where the original owner has already dealt with all the "teething problems".
But too late now.... It's still under warranty, let em fix it. The problem with intermittent faults is that they are intermittent and hard to replicate/locate.
I'd see if other owners have any similar issues too, might be a common problem which SEAT haven't yet admitted to and haven't yet informed the dealerships....“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
