Returns policies

Hi there,
Just wanted to have a discussion about clothing stores' returns policies. I know the law- don't have to refund/ exchange etc unless faulty and online is a different matter too- but I wondered if anyone had noticed the change in returns policies recently?
It used to be pretty standard- 28 days for exchange/ refund with a receipt but I noticed when buying something in Reiss that they will only exchange and it must be within 14 days. Has this always been the case? I have never noticed it before and have bought quite a few items from them over the years. I am by no means a serial returner but I do like the comfort of knowing, should I change my mind, I can get my money back.
Anyone know what the policies currently are for the usual high street stores?
