Hi I have cable with Virgin my package is TV/Phone/Broadband. I dont use the phone at all because I am on contract with my mobile and the calls are free in the package.
So am I wasting my money having a home phone if I cancel the home phone with Virgin will I still be able to have the broadband and TV without to many problems ? .Thanks

Yes you can cancel the phone, but you may find that the higher rate you are then charged for the remaining bundle may wipe out the phone saving. Also you will be started on a new 12m contract with VM.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I have found out the answer my package with Virgin is (L) broadband (M+) TV (M) Phone = £32.99 a month Cost of the Phone line rental £12.99 a month, Discount for the package £12.50 a month, so it looks like I am snookered. I was hoping to reduce my outgoings, I am very happy with the broadband service with Virgin so I would not like to go to another provider. Ideas welcome Thanks.Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

F&F calling you from their own landlines may thank you though because they won't have to pay the higher rate for calling your mobile.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
