Oh I do love this site. It must be great to be perfect.

I will try to follow the messages on how to run my life. Maybe one day I can come back on here and post derogatory messages to people seeking help.

This was not a case of the OP not being able to repay the money, rather a case of looking at a way to get out of repaying it. I truly believe that the majority of people believe that if you owe money and can afford to repay then you should.
    Maybe I am wrong.

I am probably wrong here, but I would suggest that for most people, if they had borrowed and spent money, it would not occur to them that they should not pay it back. May just be me though.

You said in your opening post that he had been paying it so the length of time since he took out the loan is not relevant.

Well done for finding a loophole, I hope it helps you two to sort your finances out but the fact remains that morally, if you borrow, you should repay.

Normal people, yes. Scally's and miscreants, No.

OP> No one is claiming to be whiter than white, I got in to debt at 18. But at no time did i convieniently 'forget' that I owed this money, and I paid it all back. It took time, but it's all paid.

Another shining example of this country going to the dogs.
