OvO v EDF ?
I've been with EDF for a couple of years and just about to come off the Online V6 tariff
Thinking to moving to OvO as with my usage they come up approx £65 cheaper than EDF's new V2 tariff.
Other than the high DD's I've read about, has anyone had any other problems with them ?

No real issues apart from the DD issue and if you see my post on the Ovo thread below the Company has been very quick to refund a credit balance.
Responses to emails have generally been quick. Only had to make one phone call (about the credit refund) and that was straightforward, and UK based.
Was thinking about leaving Ovo when my contract ended but after the experience with the refund I'm having a change of heart.0 -
I've no real issues with them apart from not being able to get an accurate bill. They tell me to supply a read after the 26th of month which I do but always get billed to an estimate.
I forgot one month and so called them to ask for a correct bill based on my actual read. They said it wasn't possible!
I would have probably stayed with them had it not been for this issue0 -
My DD is set a bit high but I dont mind that much, I'd prefer that to it being too low and I do get a small amount of interest on the credit.
My only small gripe is that their call centre is only open office hours but thats not much of an issue as they do respond to emails fairly quickly.
Other than that I've been happy enough with them, bills are much better than other companies.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Thanks for that
Just gone on the Ovo site and did their own comparison with EDF Fixed V2, came up as £3 more !!
Must be the DD discount etc with EDF, so it's V2 for me, spend too long on this already !
Just noticed the small print on EDF, if I apply now they'll stick me on V2 before my V6 end date,0
