Hi
I was on a fixed term rolling contract but it ended last Friday as the company i worked for did'nt win a contract they were hopeing for. I have an appointment today for a new JSA claim at the jobcentre, my problem is, I booked a holiday a couple of months ago to Slovakia for a stag party (5 days) how will i stand with the benifits office, i can't really cancel it as i'm the best man!.

You could start the claim when you come back and never mind the missing week or so. Unless you are married or single with lots of children, you wont be missing much.0

You'll be fine.
Just tell them the dates, and they will arrange your next sign in date for the week after, although you won't get paid for the 5 days away.Per Mare Per Terram0 -
Either claim and sign off and do a rapid-reclaim when you return. Or claim when you come back.

How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
I have no problem with letting them know, i do realise that my claim may be stopped for the 5 days, i have a partner who does'nt work and two children, my partner does not sign as she is a 'stay at home mum' raising the youngest daughter.0
