GTD's DFW Diary - Getting Closer to 40...

Thought I had managed to clear the Mint card, but they stung me for some interest, so I've had to pay that too. Will close the card in the week - another one bites the dust... Hey, technically I'm stoooozing now
Still been rubbish at mb-ing. Bought a Christmas tree though, if that helps?
Lost 0lbs this week - not sure what that's all about. I've been keeping to my calorie allowance, but it all seems a bit random as to whether my weight goes up or down. I'll just keep on keeping-on though, today is day 84...
Busy week again next week, but I will do some mb-ing!! I will I will...

Sigh....... I posted off the renewal for my passport, so I can get i.d.'d properly by the bookies (and so I can visit my sister's new place in France).2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Been a couple of busy weeks - hopefully it will all start to calm down soon... please??
Anyways, 1lb down this week, so at least it's still going in the right direction.
Got to put the Christmas tree up today (glad you like my *logical* thinking KC!), lots of housework blah blah the usual. British Gas appear to have mucked up my online bills so we haven't had an electric bill for a while and now a new gas bill has arrived...
Just feeling a bit flat at the moment, but I'm sure I'll perk up soonOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0 -
Sorry to read that you are feeling a bit crappy at the mo.
My advice..........stuff the diet and go and get some Christmas Cheer in you.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I agree with Hypne, diets should be banned in December
Have a break and enjoy yourself :beer:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hi Hypno and Spud - thanks for that, but I'm gonna stick with the diet because my jeans keep falling down, and I like it
Tree is up and being dressed beautifully by the OH and I'm gradually starting to feel a little Christmassy.
However,Have a break and enjoy yourselfget some Christmas Cheer in you
does sound like good advice, so I'm going to buy some beers in for the evening...

Been snowballing - using an idea from Jacks about working it out backwards. To be DF this time next year I'll need to pay £400/month, which I think I can do (it is the amount I've been snowballing up until a few months ago). So my first goal for next year is to stick to paying at least that every month.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0

My jeans keep falling down too GTD, and I agree it's a great feeling, except maybe when it happens in the middle of Tesco
It really wouldnt do too much harm to relax a bit for a couple of weeks. I've been VERY naughty this week (imagine pork pie and rum truffles at 10.30am) but I've still lost a kilo.
I hope you enjoyed the beers :beer:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hope everyone had a good Christmas.
I've been feeling really lazy lately and I need to get back up to speed. Not been on here much lately - work has been hectic, but I'm determined not to fall off DFW. I love it here!
Spent lots; mostly on food and drink over the last few weeks. Last week's weight change figure was big-fat-zero lbs again - this week's will probably be bad due to eating and drinking loads. Oh well, that is the point I guess
Just remembered the other day that I've got to find £600 pretty soon for the car repairs from a few weeks ago - doh! Oh well, as Pania said, at least I'm in a better position to sort that out this year than I would have been last year. To all those new people on here having a cruddy time - you can turn it around; just stick in, keep plugging away and be positive
The TV has now reached the stage where it needs a regular slap to stop the colours blurring - that's not good is it... gives a new meaning to 'interactive TV'.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0 -
I'm back! Not that I went away really, just haven't been here lately. A year to go - how exciting! (birthday was yesterday)
Had loads of outgoings lately - didn't get round to paying water bill, so they demanded the whole lot; the car bill (ouch), gas and electric, shopping etc. We've also had to pay for a new telly, which has yet to arrive...
I'm still going to commit to putting aside £400 per month, so we'll see how that goes.
Weight is down 4lbs this week (went up a bit over Christmas) so that's 20lb lost so far in 118 days - not a great rate, but if I can keep it up a bit longer I'll be at my ideal weight (one day).
Glad to see KC is m.b-ing at last - I'm jealous nowI've got lots of diaries to catch up with - hope you're all doing ok out there!
