donation
I would love to buy something in my daughters name for her grandparents xmas such as buying a sheep or cow for a 3rd world country. Have had a look about on the net but unsure how much of my donation is spent on administration and how much actually goes to charity.
Anyone have any ideas?

have a look at the Intelligent Giving website. I don't agree with the way they do everything, but you can see the figures regarding the amount spent on admin. they also go a good way to explaining why, generally speaking, the amount spent on admin is not nearly as important as people tend to think when you're deciding whether or not to donate.
