My brother lives with his g/f who is on ESA.He was working but just got laid off. Signed on (using her address naturally) and when he told her she went mad. Apparently she's been claiming benefit as a single woman living alone and never told the DWP he was there. Now she going mad because he has dropped her in it.
What will happen now? although right at this moment they seem to be splitting up lol

she may get called for an interview under caution, may have to go to court and will definately have to pay all the money back.life is what you make it, make it fun !0

If she is on contribution based ESA there is nothing wrong. However from the tone of your post and the girlfriends reaction i guess she is on means tested ESA and probably Housing Benefit as well.
Reporting the correct facts, when he moved in, is the sensible thing to do - it may be treated as an overpayment only.0 -
he's better off without the scheming thieving scum.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

Looks like it's been a lucky escape for him!0

They will want details of when he moved in with her, and if she has been overpaid, they will most probably want the money paid back over time from her benefits.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

If this has going on for a while and there's a lot of money involved, she could face prosecution as well.0

She's obviously not the sharpest pencil in the box or she'd have realised he'd use that address, but I have to agree he's had a lucky escape!
Where has all his bank statements and work related paperwork been going?0 -
