I have aol. I sign on AOL to view my email, I sign on IE to do everything else (I prefer the softwear).

But lately I've deleloped a problem viewing things (mainly in IE). I can't view you tube for example.
But I could if I went on AOL.

Tonight I wanted to go on the Cravendale website & add my milk codes, but this error message was there "You need to get flash...".
I tried to view it in AOL, but can't.

I know Adobe needs to be updated, but when I try to update (after following prompts), I get to a screen that has 3 warnings about what might happen, but no where else to go after that????? Usually you would expect to see a yellow bar across the top, or a OK to download button, but its like a dead end.

Also before going on many sites, I get a white bar across the bottom warning that not all content is safe (or something like that) & do I still want to view.

Its like my security settings have been upped to the max??

I'll take the paranoid route and suggest that there might be a hijack... won't hurt to check anyway.

    1. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (install, update, do a full scan if you want to be thorough, clean anything it finds post a log if you find anything)
    www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php

    2. Hitmanpro (don't install, just do single scan, it's very quick)
    www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro
Cure anything it finds, don't freak out over cookies :)

    3. Make a Hijackthis log... save this file to the desktop:
    http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/hijackthis/beta/HijackThis.exe
then hold LEFT SHIFT and RIGHT CLICK to Run as Administrator, then do Scan and Save log. Paste the log that comes up in notepad, don't Fix anything.

Have you tried it on a different browser, e.g. chrome?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash?

Russjk could be right, it could be a virus or something blocking access so reccomend you follow his advice to be on the safe side.

I had this problem with prompts to download Flash & it turned out to be disabled as ActiveX filtering was selected in Tools.
After deselecting it Youtube etc works.

That has helped massively, I can get on the CRavendale website & Ispell now.

I can't look at the photos on this website though

    http://www.restahotels.com/hoteldetails.aspx?pageid=26

Just a black screen with a tiny x in the top right hand side, I know there is nothing wrong with the website, as I can view it on my phone.

    Any ideas?

You could try the following to see if it helps:-

    Go to tools
    Internet options
    Security
    Click Default level
    Click OK

I would download Chrome from the Browser choice option(it only takes a few minutes) & you will probably find the web page will display properly in that Browser.

Then if you have any problems with a particular web page in Internet Explorer in future you can just switch Browsers.
