3 way electrolux fridge (in Campervan)
Problem with fridge after Winter, working fine beforehand then parked up for 2 mths and now won't work.
Comes on for 5 mins when you first connect but then goes off and won't come back on. then a week later might suddenly come on again on its own for 5 mins and go off.
Hve tested gas and electric and both supplys fine and working other things ok.
It is an automatic energy selector fridge - model 4285LM.
At a bit of a loss as to what might be the problem - any ideas would be much appreciated.

    POST 2 - today

£157 down - fridge still broken
have since got 'qualified' person out to look and he did not inspire confidence in the slightest (but did charge me £50) - advised that it probably the main control board and needs replacing.

Found one online and with some haggling got it for £107 - arrived and installed today and guess what - it still doesn't work!

Due to travel very soon - would really appreciate any help and advise on fixing. thks

So the fridge wont run on any power supply for more than 5 minutes?

Or does it behave differently on each power source?

cant remember, i think it was on hook up when it came on but then another time i think it was on gas.

we were getting ready to go away and it came on when we were loading up first then it was gone.

EDIT- It is automatic selector so we cant choose/test power source.

we went away anyway for a wk and one night we were sitting there and it suddenly came on again for 5mins and went off!

all week we kept trying it but nothing happened apart from that.

hve not been away since as been trying to get someout to look at it.

We would buy and install a new fridge ourselves if we thought we could but we cant actually get it out - there is a gas pipe in the way!
cant find anyone available to come and look/fix/quote!

Try posting on motorhomefacts.com (or it may be .co.uk) You will get loads of expert advice on there. Sometimes it is quicker and cheaper to replace the whole unit that to try and repair it.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
