Eon biggest rip off ever
Hi there
i was wondering if anyone else has suffered the same as me at the hands of eon
i have just recieved my latest electric bill which at first stated it was for the period sept 10- may 11. the bill was for £1209.80,
i am a single mother with 2 children on a pre-payment meter (i pay before i use)
when examining this bill i noticed that it included charges for 2 previous bill (which had already been payed for) then to my shock the estimated bill for my next period was for £10,270.80p
i emailed eon an the reply was that the bill was correct and they would like to point out i have an outstanding amount owing of £8.47.
i used eons energy tracker to see how they came to this amount of usage and they are saying my electricity has gone up by 1398.8% in the first few months of this year
how am i able to possibly consume this much electricity unless i am now responsible for the charges for the whole street
can anyone please help me get my head around this

What does your meter say you are currently using daily and weekly?
How do the meter readings on this bill and on the previous bill and the current actual reading of your meter compare?0 -
You say you have a ppm, what you received was it titled 'Bill' or 'Statement' because for a ppm all you should get is an annual statement?IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Hi kel81,
Welcome to the forum.
Agree with the above from spiro and Kim
It sounds like you have received an annual statement so it's showing your usage for the full year. (although the dates you have stated don't add up).
To be honest without seeing the account it is really difficult to see what's going on here.
There is an actual pre-payment department and I think it would be best if you give them a call to go through the information with you.
Also as Kim says, have you checked the meter reading from your meter against that on the statement?
If you need to help, please just ask.
