Hello
I have succesfully claimed back bank charges before and am now turning my attention to ppi. Originally in approx 2003 I took on an egg credit card. I was not long living in my house which frankly ended with substantial repairs, and soon I managed to fall behind with my payments. I vaguely recollect having speaking to debt management, and somewhere down the line it was agreed for me to transfer to the debt a loan and close off the credit card. There have been occasions where I have misse payments and had to make arrangements with debt recovery, however I have finally brought my bill down from approx 5000 to the last 475.00 and by january the debt will be gone.I have had my yearly statement today and again have noticed I have ppi on this, but for the life of me I cant remember if this was discussed with me and I agreed to it, or if it was done because debt management wanted me to.
my question is this, is it worth pursuing when I am so close to the end of the loan plus I'm hazy with the facts (i also dont have any copies of the paper agreement), or do I try to give it a go, and if I do what happens if it turns out I did agree to it? I wish I could remember more, and have definetly learnt from past mistakes!
thank you for listening:)

Hi there
So the ppi is with the debt company?
Would you have gone for the ppi if they offered this to you do you think? you may have a case here.
If this is the case, then go for the reclaiming, you could contact them for more details, I assume they will hold them.
To make a reclaim, complete the step 3 reclaim questionnaire below, remember to keep copies for yourself, and the usual timescale is that of 8 weeks, good luck.

Thank you Dizzy Di, the debt managment department that I spoke to was all internal to egg itself I called them to advise I had problems and this was offered as a solution, and because I was having money troubles If they had told me I had to have ppi I woulndt have questioned it because I was desperate to get myself out of trouble.
I think myself it may be worth a shot, but Im just hoping that if they say I dont have a case they then make me pay the rest of the money owed. Thank you ever so much for your advice I have really appreciated it0 -
