I have started unsubscribing a lot of the emails on Outlook Express we get and noticed that it was opening the links up in Google Chrome, I didn't know that I had Chrome, I uninstalled it and now when I click on the links nothing happens.
I've been into programme access and defaults > custom > choose a default web browser> mozilla firefox and it still will not open up.
What am I doing wrong?
I'm using XP pro.

This is a common problem caused by chrome. I fixed it by editing the registry which I found after a google search.0

Try following these instructions
You can't do it directly from Firefox, you have to go through the Internet Explorer stage first.
The important bit is at the end when you set the default browser in Firefox
