Replacing and potentially moving place of boiler

Hi the wall mounted combi-boiler I have is sunk completely into a fake wall with minimal clearance on each side of it and a wall mounted cupboard in front of it. As well as this the pipes run down behind the fake wall and infront of the fake wall below the wall mounted units is a work top with cupboards. (See existing kitchen plan in diagram)

I am currently thinking of changing the boiler as it is getting quite old and the gas engineer has said it would be wise to change it. However I am unsure of what to do as to gain access to the pipes, the fake wall would have to be cut and the worktop surface directly infront of the bottom of the boiler would have to be cut.

The first plan (A) is to rip out the fake wall completely and move all of the kitchen units directly onto the real wall as shown in the diagram but even then the worktop will have to be cut as it is glued together and may crack. Then simply make room for the pipes in the work top surface and in the cupboards below. Would feeding the pipes through the worktop surface cause problems with servicing?

The second plan (B) is to cut a hole out of the fake wall to be able to completely remove the boiler and cut the worktop surface to access the pipes and then change and move the boiler to the new position
as shown in the diagram. Then i wouldnt have to knock down the whole fake wall. Is it possible to put cupboards all the way around the L shape so that the worksurface looks symmetric or do I have to leave room for accessing the pipes?

In your opinion which plan sounds best/cheapest.

Thanks
