I have tried many many many types of cup, and this is the best I've found:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-SCF609-05-Decorated-Training/dp/B0044BBTY2/ref=pd_cp_by_3

It doesn't leak, and it flows well.

Thankyou so much had these for my twins 6 years ago and could not find them in the shops never thought to look on there. I loved them and the twins used theirs for ages and took them to bed every night.

I might purchase one of those too as his 'big boy' cup. Are they available on the highstreet anywhere? Never seen them. Phillips products seem to be really good... he uses the bottles and are really good quality. I got him an 'anywayup' cup and he hates it. Doesnt flow well at all and the wee critter cant get anything out :(

I would imagine he may give up his morning bottle with little fuss, but you may have a battle with the evening one (i have done with all mine) We started to put milk in a cup and water in a bottle. once they realised what was happening they were all off the night bottle within a week.

also we have used the screw on toddler vups with built in plastic straws before taking bottle away. Its soft like a teat but its a straw iykwim??

He hasnt quite been able to master a straw yet lol. I have a soft spout that changes philips avent bottle into a drinking cup so could maybe try that. Although i did try when he was around one and he was far from impressed that mummy had took the teat from his bottle... que the dropped lip and uncontrollable screaming :(

He is nearly 3 and takes juice to bed with him for incase he wakes thirsty.. but now more often than not will wake with it untouched. HTH.

This is soooo bad for his teeth (no matter how diluted it is) - if he has to take a drink to bed with him it should really just be water.

I agree with Dazi....if he's still enjoying it, then what harm is it really doing? They don't stay little very long, no rush rush rush

I heard milk in a bottle was bad for their teeth too. Think its to do with the way it lies round the teeth or something I dunno. My son wont take water unfortunately
