dont you think its strange to decline to put anything in writing? i remember having a payday loan but not with that company, alot of people are saying well you should remember and they have your details, but then again, but then there are so many scams around nowadays and they get information from anywhere. thats why im hestiating and holding back. do you suggest that if i wait to get my bank statements through, if they deatils are correct and all the dates and payment amounts add up to pay them? or to question why they are chasing after 2 years? and if i havent had the money, or i have actually paid them off what action should i take?

What? I remember every loan or credit I've ever taken out, I would have thought that was normal? It's quite a serious decision, deciding to borrow money, it's the sort of thing you tend to remember...

Anyway, can you not just go to your bank and ask to see statements from 2 years ago to see if you received the money?

I don't know about loans but if it were a tengible item, they would have 6years to chase you for payment.

Have you arranged to retrieve your bank statements for that period yet?

As they've tried taking payment then they would have had your card details including the security code on the back...an old card by the sounds of it too,which says to me that it's highly likely that you took the loan out with them.

Do you not have online banking?You could check through your statements there too.
