Income Based Job Seekers

I have been out of work now for nearly 6 months after being made redundant.Have been to numerous interviews in this time but nothing as yet.
Have been told I will be moving onto Income based JS and will need tobe reasessed how much is coming into the house. My wife only does 13 hours a month part time.
I have a private unemployment insurance which has just started to pay out,£630 a month but all this covers is the mortgage and fuel bills.
Will this amount , if declared, mean we won't get anything.
To get this insurance I have to show that I am in receipt of,JSA.
I also need to show proof of,JSA,for a loan insurance aswell.

I can see this going round in circles from the benefits people to the insurance people,me stuck in the middle.

Sorry it's long winded but its like the benefits system.Paid taxes all my life and when I need the support,it's not there!!!

Can anyone advise.

Steve
