It is surprisingly easy not to spend money over a bank holiday weekend when you have no friends or family within a 200 miles radius.

My will power is taking a beating, as I feel incredibly blue today and would like to bike to Sainsburys and splurge on food and DVDs to "cheer myself up." A counter-productive move if ever there was one. Immediate gratification, that would be good. Unnecessary spending AND junk food guilt. That would be bad.

    Lonliness is the enemy!

  • hey mouldydc - don't do it treacle stay away from sainos! How about going for a jog - there's a thread on the forum called couch potato to 5k in 9 weeks. Also come over & koin us on the June weight loss thread for some motivation & support & finally can I recommend the small things thread on the DFW board? we meet daily to post small steps we are taking to tackle our debt, but there is a lovely friendly & supportive gang (its a real love fest ever day!) we keep each other on the straight & narrow & have lots of laughs along the way. Anyway you can find a community garden project in your area for free exercise & making friends? And lastly a film or book to keep yourself outta trouble when you're in a danger zone. Stay strong you'll get there x
