Apart from the condition of the property I'm sure you have had a lucky escape.
It has been on the market for over a year with no interest and yet you end up offering the asking price.
It is clearly over valued ......
I agree with this. If it's been for sale for more than year then it's overpriced. There is no way I'd offer asking price on a property that has been on that long unless it has had significant reductions.
Walk away and find a vendor who doesn't want to waste everyones time and money. Especially yours.Debt Is Slavery.0 -
Well, as of this morning, we are no longer going after this house, told my lawyer to tell her we were not interested any more.

I'd be running down the street screaming flailing my arms.
Worst attempt at a cover up ever. And offering you a £250 goodwill gesture on £1250 worth of damage, especially after having received full asking price having been on the market a year and desperate to move.

What does 'in a walk-in condition' even mean anyway? That it has floorboards??Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0

What a price though! I so wish I wanted to live in a cheap area. Similar flats in old properties go for half a million in my area. How depressing.0
