first home, how do I compare prices??

As above I am moving in to my first home soon and want to keep all costs down from the off. Trouble is I cant find anywhere to compare energy prices or deals without previous consumption figures.
Where can I go to compare or even better where are the best deals, possibly fixed.

Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

Just 'invent' the kWh and enter those into the comparison websites.

If you post details of property e.g. 1 bed flat or 2 bed semi etc, modern or old, and your lifestyle - couple out at work etc , gas and electricity or just electricity, we will give you some idea of consumption.
