Hi everyone
We've had an email from Belfast City Council asking if they can post. We can't let them but they have some useful info on the site so I'm going to post it myself.
Here's what they sent

I look after website content for the Belfast City Council website - www.belfastcity.gov.uk - and have some material which I think would be of interest to users of the Northern Ireland discussion thread on the Moneysaving Expert forum.
Belfast City Council is the main local authority in Belfast - it offers a range of services and facilities for parents and young children, and we provide content on our own site in relation to these.
For example, we have information on our website about:
- how children under 16 and their families can get discounted access to leisure centres
- a free events calendar showing what's happening in Belfast
- details of free summer activities in Belfast for families
I'd like to be able to inform the forum users that this material is available on our website, as many may not be aware of it.
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Only fair that we have a link to all the councils events pages.....
Antrim Borough
Ards
Armagh City & District
Ballymena
Ballymoney
Banbridge
Belfast
Carrickfergus
Castlereagh
Coleraine
Cookstown
Craigavon
Derry
Down
Dungannon & South Tyrone
Fermanagh
Larne
Limavady
Lisburn
Magherafelt
Moyle
Newry & Mourne
Newtownabbey
North Down
Omagh
Strabane
You will note that some of these websites are better than others. If you live in a council area that has a poor site (these are blindingly obvious!) might I suggest that you ask the councillors in your area what exactly they are doing to promote the events going on, when other councils have nailed it quite easily.0
