Tescos and Coupons

 Tesco issued these H&B vouchers themselves - they are not from over companies. We are taking advantage of an offer not abusing it!
Thanks for the friendly face!! If you don't support them then why not join a site against this rather than slate the people who use them!!

Well said kool-mumma! :T
Coupon threads often get this sort of comment....and Tesco often have a clamp down on coupons....but they don't stop accepting them altogether. It's the accepted policy of Tesco, Asda and Waitrose to accept some coupons without buying the product (although some stores opt out it seems) and I suspect they are all clamping down right now as it's Christmas and they need to keep the queues of people flowing quickly through the tills.
If they did stop accepting any I would start going to Asda or Waitrose, whoever would accept them. This is a moneysaving site and using coupons for your shopping is one of the most moneysaving things everyone can do!
I have only been using coupons this year, but other posters have confirmed they have used coupons (without buying the product) for many years. And if Tesco are silly enough to issue various coupons which can scan together against one purchase, AND they don't train their till-staff thoroughly (we all know the newbies are just sat at a till and shown the basics, that's it!) then they cannot be miffed if some of their canny customers actually use them.
And BTW it's not fraud (at least not on the part of the customer) if Tesco etc., accept other Supermarkets' coupons this way. Many large Tescos advertise on posters outside that they accept other supermarkets' vouchers, especially in towns where competition is fierce. Also, although we all use coupons on here, we are very much in the minority....so other shoppers are supplementing our shopping bills if they don't use them. Personally I don't want to (and can't afford to) supplement other people's shopping.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Not for some on here. Give them an inch and they'll take 200 miles, let alone one.
Today I got £6.50 (1 x Sainsburys £5, 1 x £1.20 and 1 x £0.30) off a £58 shop and I am more than happy with that. Slightly more than 10% but not a p*** take either.0 -
Oh hello again Martin, we remember you but don't think we are going to find common ground on this thread....:DPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I for one did not have any trouble today but have had many days lately when I could not use any vouchers.
I love hearing about other peoples experiences on here. It's all so varied and there's usually a laugh in there somewhere too!!:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A0
