Trust Property charging arrears twice, are they allowed?

Hi Guys,

I pay ground rent to Trust property, I missed one due to my solicitors fault and had to pay arrears. (Basically they had the wrong address so didn't get the invoice until a few months after!)

While I was sorting out the mess, they charged me arrears again. This was around the xmas holiday so replies were slow from their end so they charged me again.

I refused to pay the last set of arrears and settled the rest of the bill.

Ground rent is due again now and they are asking for the arrears again!?

Are they allowed to have charged me twice in the first place. Especially as it was mainly their poor organisation and late responses that I was charged the second time anyway!

Any help guys?
