I was wondering has anyone heard about green oil plantations they are offering 80% return in 5 years thats 16% per year.
Apparently they have plantations in Queensland Australia that are insured against drought flood and fire.
I am from the school of (if it sounds to good to be true then its not)
but I am wondering ??

I guess the main risk is will the company still be around in 5 years to buy the trees back off you as promised?0

Having looked at the brochure there don't appear to be any obvious catches.
However, the fundamental question remains - if they truly believe in the success of this venture, and are a reputable company, why are they taking out loans from multiple private investors at 16% interest instead of getting a single, cheaper line of credit from a bank? That's what makes no sense to me, as it implies that they cannot raise capital more cheaply than paying a 16% yield*. Massive red flag right there, which until explained would be a firm reason not to part with anything.
*Or they intend to exploit a loophole to avoid paying out, and the high interest is merely to attract more individual investors. I wonder if some sort of "hollywood accounting" ploy is in the pipeline, whereby Green Oil Plantations deliberately goes bankrupt in such a way that their assets and profits pass on to a separate company owned by the same people.0 -
A few years ago it was ostrich farms. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/ostrich-farmers-who-fooled-celebrities-police-and-lawyers-are-jailed-for-fraud-715404.html
Scams that work best always sound plausible.0 -

And your company name would be?
Forgive me for being cynical but if you post your company name it will give you a little more credibility.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
