Our weekend away with family this weekend has been cancelled - DD is upset that she isnt going away (more upset about not sleeping in a hotel!)
I'm struggling to think of something to do that wont cost ££
We're in Nottingham but would like to venture out a bit further - Any suggestions?
Possibly might try Legoland but seems a bit far to go . . . .

White Post Farm? Wonderland? (or whatever its called now - basically across the road from White Post Farm). How old is your daughter? When my daughter was younger (ie 3 up to about 8) she loved both these places, and would happily spend all day at either.
Can you get a day pass for Center Parcs Sherwood Forest? That might be another option (don't know what its like though, never been).
The Monkey Forest at Trentham Gardens, Stoke?0 -

She's 3 - both good options but all 3 are just down the road from us and aren't really a "treat" as we visit them often :rotfl:
Trying to escape "home" for a bit
Never heard of the monkey forest? - will look it up thanks!0 -
Depends how active she needs to be? If it's just getting out of the house and going on walks etc, then a national trust property if often a good bet. Locally they are very popular with kids as quite often they can run around the grounds etc.0

The National Trust property Belton House has a fantastic play area and is about 40 minutes from Nottingham
