redressclaims company

Hi All. Im a newbe here so if i make any mistakes sorry. My wife took a call yesterday from this company saying that they could get back any mis sold credit of any kind and it would not cost us anything. to cut a long story short we ended up saying yes for them to go ahead. i did check online and every thing seeemed ok. This morning I thought it did not sound right and checked again online and found out a few things. I immediately phoned Barclaycard and got the card stopped but they had all ready had taken out £1300, after saying it would not cost us a penny. I beleive it is a proper company but as i found out it will cost you and you will not get any thing paid off. I know we are idiots. The thing is I beleive we have 14 days or somthing to cancell it. Can it be by email or does it have to be written. If it will do any good. Cheers Derek.

    1) Tell CC company (if true) they had no authority to take the money, and request a refund. This will be tricky because you have given them all the details required to authorise a payment, so the CC company will ask why.
    2) write a recorded delivery letter to the company pointing out that they had no authority to take any money from the card, request an immediate refund, and telling them that you do not wish to make use of any of their services.

    3) if you gave them any other card details/bank details then make sure you stop those cards/accounts as well.

    Hi new here to. My mum did the same took phone call from redressclaims thought it was okay handed over credit card details,before she recieved application pack, they have taken 990.00 from card.
    Called credit card company the say she has to go back to the redress to claim it back, even thought it has overdrawn her credit limit by over 600 pounds I asked why they paid it they said her back account was good for it. I wish you good luck syd rumpo and my mum. I will let you know how I get on tomorrow the are supost to call her back.

    They did not call back sent register post cancellation. Bank and credit card fraud section my possibly help after 14days are up.

    I don't wish to be pedantic about punctuation, grammar, and spelling, and wouldn't pull people up on typos and such like - but your post is absolutely incomprehensible.
