Can you have ESA paid weekly?

Hi everyone, hopefully you can help me? I currently have my DLA paid every week on a Wednesday but my ESA Support Group is paid every two weeks on a Monday and that makes it harder for me to budget because I like to pay things weekly where I can. I can't find any information on weekly ESA payments and I'm wondering if it's possible for them to maybe change me over to weekly payments just like DLA? I really appreciate your support and sorry if I sound cheeky
Many thanks

Hi There
I used to work for the ESA department of DWP and unfortunatley unless you can prove you have extreme financial crisis when your benefit it payed fortnightly they will not even conisder changing you to a weekly payment, and even if you have a valid and geniune reason it is still a hard thing to get changed unfortunaley.

Nope, can you imagine if everyone claiming some sort of benefit wanted individual dates of payment? Mayhem!
Good luck with budgeting!Per Mare Per Terram0 -
If you like to pay weekly then you can put half your double payment aside for one week and make a second payment yourself. As it is an ongoing payment the initial hurdle of a fortnight's wait is, surely, more than done. I am not quite sure what your issue is. If you are spending your money as fast as it comes in then you really have to try to grab control and settle things down as without budgeting discipline you will cause problems for yourself.0
