Hi,
I purchased an easyjet holiday last month from their website. The holiday included flights, accommodation, transfer and meals for the duration of the holiday. The holiday is all paid for but unfortunately I can no longer go.
Is it possible to get a refund for the holiday???
Many thanks,
Johnathon.

What does your contract with them say?
And, do you have travel insurance that includes cancellation cover?Retired in 2015.

I don't have any travel insurance yet, I can't find anything on the contract. Is there some type of cancellation fee I can pay??0

The conditions are here. http://holidays.easyjet.com/booking-conditions.htm
Cancel more than 70 days before departure and you only lose your deposit. 28 days or less and there is no refund.0 -
How much is the deposit? Will I get refunded the remaining balance back on my card because I have paid for the holiday in full?
Many thanks!0 -
when do you travel john as like op says anything outside 70 days you will only loose deposit if its an easyjet holiday deposit is most likely to be the flight price. if you are outside this then they would refund the same method you paid with0

Really sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I have just been in a similar position to you and lost a deposit of over £300!!
We booked our holiday about 6 weeks ago to depart on 16 September. Unfortunately our 14 year old son was in a really bad accident and there is no way he will be able to go abroad for now. I emailed easyjet holidays telling them that although we wouldnt be able to go on the dates we had booked we would be grateful if there was any way we could use our deposit towards rescheduling the holiday until early next year. I was told I could do this but there would be a 'flight amendment' charge which came to over £300 and then a £40 fee on top of that. Foolishly we were still prepared to reschedule the holiday but easyjet were trying to charge us another extra £300 more for the holiday than we would pay if we booked on line! this was just ludicrous and I couldnt get an answer as to why I could see this holiday at a certain price on their site but they were quoting a higher price - So we decided to cut our losses and cancel as we didn't want to give easyjet anymore of our hard earned money than was necessary - So we lost our deposit. As far as I am concerned the charges are just pure greed as easyjet will obviously sell on our holiday. I would never book with easyjet holidays again and because of their greedy charges they are just winners all round!! Easyjet actually states on their site that they will only reimburse the deposit if you are cancelling due to a death and can prove this with a death certificate! I really hope you have a better experience than we did. Please post again and let us know how you get on. Good luck x0 -

Did you not have travel insurance? That could possibly have been a way to avoid this.0 -

Travel insurance covers such eventualities. As far as I am concerned the charges are just pure greed as easyjet will obviously sell on our holiday. It's not greed - it's business.
If you had travel insurance, you'd be covered. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
x-moneypenny-x - soory to hear about your son's accident, but I'm afraid this is exactly why you should always buy travel insurance as soon as you have booked a holiday, it would have been a lot cheaper than the £300+ that you've lost.
HydroJohn - we don't know why you're cancelling so can't tell whether it would have been covered by insurance but I hope this will make you think in future about taking it out early.0 -
can you not sell the holiday- least then you may get SOME money backcredit card bill. £0.00
overdraft £0.00
Help from the state £0.000
