Hi chums,
I have some old videos and things i've created on my laptop, is it just a case of hooking it up to the main tv using an HDMI cable to watch it on the "big screen"?

If the laptop has an HDMI output, yes.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0

Yup - If you have an HDMI or video/audio output on the laptop, then it is just a matter of using the appropriate cable and selecting the appropriate output via function keys or display software.
Watch that you don't get stung for cables though - Many places sell HDMI cables for stupid prices when in reality you get no better quality over a cheap non-branded cable. Shop around.
