    Without sounding stupid, has the OP actually informed HMRC through offical means (ie self assessment forms etc?)

    I completed my self assesment back in January and got a refund 3 / 4 days later, paid into my bank account.

    HMRC give excellent service ime.
    2014 Target;
    To overpay CC by £1,000.
    Overpayment to date : £310

    2nd Purse Challenge:

    you know this sort of thing works better if you put it in IMG tags rather then a URL
