Can you recommend a good conveyancer in East Midlands?

Hi peeps!

After reading all your helpful advice on house purchasing, I'm in the midst of doing my homework. I'm researching my own mortgage deals (with a view to see what a mortgage advisor can come up with too!), searching properties in my price range, and also trying to get three quotes from conveyancers (one local, one non-local, and one online - as recommended!). This is where I'm hoping you can help me out...

I've read your posts on the Conveyancing Warehouse and so far their quote is the cheapest of the online firms, though I know the cheapest isn't always the best...

I'm not really too sure where to start with a non-local conveyancer as it seems like finding a needle in a haystack?? So any recommendations would be gratefully received.

Also, I live in Leicestershire so they would be my local conveyancer. Can anyone recommend a good East Midlands one? I'm within driving distance of Leicester, Coalville, Loughborough, Hinckley, Burton on Trent, Derby, Tamworth, Lichfield (technically West Midlands!).

Thank you very much in advance!

Sian

I would highly recommend Freeth Cartwright. They have offices in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. They are not the cheapest, but I have used them twice and they made the whole process seem effortless (as it really should be!).

Gareth Barltrop at Crane and Walton at Coalville does what he says when he says he will. My ea said oh good when i said who i was using, by no means the cheapest but has done a great job, would happily use again despite problems with sale.

Do not use NBM eason at Ashby.
