I use insureandgo, they have a list of activities and whether it is included already or not, it's quite a useful tool without having to get a quote first and dig through papers. As it goes, quadbiking is listed as you do need to notify them and pay extra and there is an excess for it - must be one of those activities that often ends up in casualties!

I would highly recommend Primary travel insurance http://www.primaryinsurance.co.uk/

When you do the quote you select the level of cover you want: no activities/level 1/level 2/level 3/level 4.

Each level seemed to add around £2 to the quote so excellent value. I found level 2 was more than adventurous enough for me covering things like quad biking, scuba diving, bungee jumping, water skiing, white water rafting, parascending over water etc etc

Each level includes the previous levels' activities so if you went for level 2 you also get level 1 included.

I've just paid £9 odd for a 10 day european holiday, that included level 2 activities. They were also the cheapest to cover a pre-existing condition (£10 extra instead of hundreds quoted by other companies!).
