Hi
not replacement as such but part of a new build.Building inspector will allow me about 1500mm max wide so i thought I'd go for a square window.I am looking for good quality so Kommerling would be my main choice unless there is another equally good or better. Must have good E value( or is it U ? ) for energy conservation and Pilkington glass.Any idea how much I should expect to pay? thanks

It must have a U Value of 1.6 or lower or a Window energy rating of C or better. Low E glass helps achieve these figures.0

Mmm just discovered the U value for new proposed bifold doors and roof lanterns will be 1.8 so presumably the window would be the same. This is according to the architect's drawing and presumably approved by the building inspector ( as he has a copy of the drawing), although I did chat to him yesterday re the window and he mentioned 1.6.My builder doesnt seem too concerned as he says they dont normally check anyway. The glass will all be argon filled Pilkington kArgentine by birth,English by nature0
