Hi,
I have a 4.5" hole in my bathroom ceiling for the extractor fan. I have purchased a Vent Axia in line fan which uses a 4" hose http://www.screwfix.com/p/vent-axia-acm100t-in-line-extractor-fan/53730
I was wondering if there is a grill that will cover the 4.5" hole so it really needs to be 5" but will connect to a 4" hose.
For example is would this work? Is the 4" in the spec the size of the bit that goes through the gole and the overall grille size would actually be much bigger. http://www.astra247.com/5725/Cooling/Round-Ceiling-Diffuser-Chrome-Circular-Grille/4-100mm/
Hope this make sense!
Cheers
Dave

I dont think you can get 5" grills, you could get a 6" grill and reduce it at the back ?
Looking at that grill you suggested, I doubt it would cover a 4.5" hole, the surrounds on grills tend only to be just big enough for screw holes. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm about to fix a replacement 4" generic bathroom fan this morning. I am guessing it will be about as straightforward as installing a light fitting, if I am missing something plse let me know?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hijaker there should be an icolator switch if it has been installed correctly. If not just turn your power off at the fuse board!
found this http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/BGRG5C.html but I am worried that the bit that actually goes through the hole will be 5"
What I really want is a 5" overall diameter with 4" that actually goes through the hole!0 -
Just in case anyone needs the answer these ones seem fine
