taps on small cloakroom basin

I'm trying to find a tool that allows me to undo a plastic straight tap connector. Its the nut attached to the tap, and not the backnut that is between the tap and the basin.
I've tried the following but too big... basin wrench and adustable basin wrench.
Would a tap backnut spanner work on the plastic tap connector?

A pic of the offending article would be a lot better than a pic of a tool you might want to use if only anyone could tell you could use it if they knew exactly what you were trying to use it on. If you see what I mean.
