Prepaid card account with multiple cards?

Hi all,

To help us to budget I would like to open a prepaid card and shift an amount each month for groceries.

However, I would like to get a card for me and one for my partner. All of the cards I seem to look at (orange etc) will allow additional cards but these have their own balance which I don't want... I want the 2 cards to link to the same balance.

Anyone know of a card that does what I want?

Thanks,

Kevin

The travelex £GBP cash passport will but they have a 2% loading fee.

Though I don't really see the benefit of doing this? You'd still have to communicate how much you are spending to eachother (unless your happy to get to the checkout after a shop and realise you have nothing left) - in which case you can just use your normal cards but keep track of it.

If you shop in ASDA, they do student gift cards where you can top up with one and spend on the other - I guess you may be able to spend on the one you top up as well?

I dont know of any prepaid cards that allow you to send from the same balance, but as an alternative, Natwest do a savings account called First Reserve, that comes with a Visa debit card. You could open a joint account each having a debit card for the account, and as its a savings account, there is no credit check and opening a joint savings account does not create a financial association on your credit reports. If you are interested see the link below
