Skydive for Cancer

I must of lost my marbles when I thought about doing this, but I wanted to do something out of the ordinary.

So here goes, I'm going to be doing a skydive for 2 charities...
Pancreatic Cancer UK and Macmillan.

My father was diagnosed with PC in Feb this year and whilst there is no cure for my father, i'm hoping that the funds raised will help find a way of detecting this nasty cancer earlier than advanced stages than it is at present.

I chose Macmillan as the second charity to benefit from my "leap of faith" as they have been a god send with helping me care for my father.
Please help by showing your support in my moment of madness when I throw myself out of a plane  for the benefit of others.

The event itself will take place this Sunday (29th May)
Raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer UK and Macmillan... doing a sponsored 10k skydive for both charities.

Please give a little, it means a lot :)

Often with these things a big chunk of the money raised has to be used to pay for the person to actually do the sky dive (they cost a few hundred pounds) so you're collecting money that people are giving thinking it all goes to the charity but much of it doesn't which I don't think is right at all.

That might not be true. I did a charity skydive and we were given the option of paying for the training/jump ourselves (just under £200 when I did it a few years ago), which I did, so then every penny people donated went to the charity.

If that's the case it's a good idea to tell everyone that OP, as a lot of people are getting very cynical about this type of fundraising now.

Good luck with it, I loved mine:j

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.
